Ceiling Fan to Thrift Store Chandelier Makeover


A simple chandelier makeover using a chandelier found at a thrift store. It replaced a ceiling fan in and was flush mounted. The effect was stunning!blank630x20If you’d love to have a chandelier but can’t afford one here’s an inexpensive way to do it. Buy one at a thrift store and do a chandelier makeover! We did it and the effect was stunning. All it took was a can of spray paint! We replaced a dated ceiling fan light in our living room.   This is one of those simple makeover that make a huge impact. Roy found these two chandeliers at the thrift store. The one on the right is what we chose for our living room.

The chandelier was meant to hang down a bit using the included chain but we wanted to flush mount it as our ceiling was not high enough to allow for the chain. Because our fan was not connected to a light switch, rather than rewire things we added a pull chain mechanism to the light by drilling a hole in the base. Chandelier Makeover and Flush Mounting 12ablank630x20
