Easy Tiny Clay Hobbit Door (& Gandalf)
This simple hobbit door is so easy to make from colored hardening clay that anyone can do it! Use it for jewelry, bookmarks etc. Makes a great Tolkien gift! This post is part of our Hobbit Day and Tolkien Week celebration!
- Polymer Clay (I used Fimo)
- Pin for making lines in clay
- Tiny eyelet if desired.
- Jewelry findings, if desired.
- Drill with tiny bit.
- String if your using the drill.
- Mod Podge or other gloss coating.
I’m not the least bit artistic. (Not to be confused with creative.) What I mean is I can’t draw, paint or sculpt. My stick figures even kinda suck. So I tend to steer clear of crafts that require someone to have that ability. This is one of those crafts. My point being, if I can do this, anyone can do this.
After you’ve baked your clay you can give your Hobbit door or Gandalf a nice coating with some type of gloss. I used Mod Podge.
